  1. A More Controllable AGA Cooker

ElectricKit replaces the cooker’s traditional heat source with independently controlled electric elements. This gives you greater flexibility while retaining the cast-iron cooker already at the heart of your kitchen.

Heat Only What You Need

Control the ovens and hotplates independently instead of keeping the complete cooker at full temperature continuously.

Easier Year-Round Use

Turn individual cooking zones down or off during warmer weather, then use them for additional background warmth during winter.

Retain Your Existing Cooker

Keep the familiar appearance, cast-iron ovens and radiant cooking characteristics of your existing cooker without purchasing a complete replacement.

Choose Your Level of Control

Select the straightforward ElectricKit Classic system or choose ElectricKit Advanced for touchscreen controls, timers and more comprehensive app operation.

2. ElectricKit Classic or Advanced?

Both systems provide independently controlled electric ovens and hotplates. The main difference is how the cooker is controlled and the level of automation available.

ElectricKit Classic

A straightforward conversion system designed for simple, familiar everyday operation.

  • Easy-to-use dial controls

  • Independent oven and hotplate control

  • Digital temperature display on compatible models

  • Optional Wi-Fi oven on/off control

  • Optional induction hob on suitable cookers

  • Suitable for two-, three- and four-oven models

Best for: Owners who want flexible electric operation with simple controls and fewer electronic features.

ElectricKit Advanced

A more comprehensive control system offering touchscreen operation, timers and remote control.

  • Colour touchscreen controls

  • Independent oven and hotplate control

  • Integrated cooking timer

  • Programmable 24-hour and seven-day operation

  • App-based temperature and timer control

  • Programmable rest mode

  • Larger, higher-output left hotplate

  • Additional upgrade options on compatible cookers

Best for: Owners who want greater automation, precise control and the ability to manage their cooker remotely.

Available features depend on the cooker’s model, age and configuration. We will confirm the suitable system and options before providing a quotation.

3. Cooker Suitability?

Many traditional two-, three- and four-oven cast-iron cookers can be converted to ElectricKit, including a range of oil, gas, solid-fuel and earlier electric models.

However, not every cooker is compatible. Suitability depends on its model, age, construction, condition and existing controls.

Send us:

  • A photograph of the complete cooker

  • A close-up of its controls

  • The number of ovens and hotplates

  • Details of its current fuel type

  • Your postcode.

We can often provide an initial indication from photographs before arranging a site visit.

Important: ElectricKit is a cooking conversion and cannot retain an internal hot-water boiler. If your cooker currently heats your domestic hot water, a separate replacement system will be required.

4. How Much Does an ElectricKit AGA Cost to Run?

There isn’t one weekly running cost that applies to every household. The amount you spend will depend on your electricity tariff, selected temperatures, timer settings and how frequently you use the ovens and hotplates.

The main advantage of ElectricKit is control: individual cooking zones can be heated when required instead of keeping the complete cooker at full temperature continuously.

Classic Two-Oven Examples

Manufacturer-published oven consumption examples:

  • Timed once daily — approximately 2.32 kWh per day

  • Timed twice daily — approximately 3.95 kWh per day

  • Left at roasting temperature continuously — approximately 10.56 kWh per day

Classic Four-Oven Examples

Manufacturer-published oven consumption examples:

  • Timed once daily — approximately 3.60 kWh per day

  • Timed twice daily — approximately 5.79 kWh per day

  • Left at roasting temperature continuously — approximately 17.28 kWh per day

Estimating Your Cost

Multiply the expected daily consumption by the unit rate shown on your electricity bill.

Daily consumption × electricity unit rate = estimated daily cost

These figures are illustrative manufacturer examples for oven use and do not include hotplate consumption. Actual results will vary according to the cooker, its condition, selected settings, energy tariff and individual cooking habits. They should not be treated as guaranteed running costs or savings.

5.How an ElectricKit Conversion Works

We manage the process from the initial compatibility check through to testing and demonstrating your converted cooker.

01 — Assessment

We identify your cooker model, check its condition and discuss how you currently use it. We will also establish whether Classic or Advanced is the most suitable option.

02 — Quotation and Preparation

You receive a written quotation explaining the conversion, selected upgrades and any additional work required. The available electrical supply is also checked before installation.

03 — Conversion

The existing heat source is safely disconnected and the ElectricKit elements, controls and associated components are installed to the agreed specification.

04 — Testing and Handover

The completed system is tested and commissioned. We then demonstrate the oven, hotplate, timer and app controls included with your chosen system.

Most conversions are carried out at the customer’s property. The expected installation time and any preparation required will be confirmed before work begins.
